Custom Dupioni Silk Throw Pillows
Our silk dupioni fabric is hand-woven using pure dupioni yarns from double nested cocoons. Silk dupioni is a shimmering silk that is created by weaving silk threads of two colors together. You will notice that using two different color threads allows the silk to shimmer and give an iridescent effect as the silk moves around different lights. Our dupioni silk pillows are constructed with threads made from rough silk fibers which are interlocked, employing a set of vibrant colors in the weave. Threads of natural silk vary in thickness, producing a beautiful texture. Hand loomed silk dupioni has weaving irregularities like slubs, barres and loops which are inherent to the fabric and enhance its exotic beauty.
